There is always plenty of time to wait for your deliverables from your land survey vendor; right? Most oil and gas companies in the midstream and upstream sector have long lead-times on projects with unlimited budgets. Well, wouldn't this be nice! In reality, Oil and Gas operates in an ultra-competitive environment and faces challenges including but not limited to regulation, falling commodity prices, and pressures to do more with less. Just as our customers have, Gateway embraced lean thinking and built a culture around exceeding our customers' expectations as mentioned in Are you Optimizing Your Oil and Gas Business
The phone call was received late in the afternoon, and a plan was made. Gateway's field crews were on site first thing the next morning. With hard work, great organization and first-class communication the deliverables were back to the customer that same evening. "If it wasn't for the streamlined processes of the team, from field work through drafting, the customer's goals wouldn't have been achieved," stated Fred.
In visiting with our team, we discovered that there were three key factors that led to Gateway exceeding our customer's expectations on this project:
Fred also stated that, "We were able to coordinate our efforts to plan, survey, draft, QC, review, and sign certified plats in less than 24 hours, due to a team-effort." The customer was able to move forward with their plans, and as a result Gateway has become their "go-to" for all of their land survey needs. Over the course of 20 years in business, Gateway has maintained a reputation of being able to exceed our customers' expectations. No matter the size and scope of the project, team Gateway is always looking for additional ways to heighten the customer experience.
